This was a massive letdown

  1. Same thing with the Cheetos sweet Carolina reaper, absolute trash. Pretty much anytime a product says sweet[hot pepper], don’t expect any decent heat

These are my favourite chips. Not spicy at all, but had flavour.

They always are. Ghost pepper and Carolina reaper are only added to names for gimmicky novelty. The reality is that the average consumer can’t handle true heat and will either have a very bad time or die due to a congenital cardiovascular or respiratory issue. This results in refunds and lawsuits which equates to lost revenue, so they err on the side of caution and play to the least-common denominator. I get downvoted to oblivion every time I say this, but it’s true.

  4. The only ghost pepper chips I’ve had that were actually spicy were Paquis (RIP)

Can’t blame you, the packaging looks extremely enticing.

say it with me… NO commercial packaged food labelled extra hot, etc in the US will EVER be even as hot as tobacco sauce.

  7. Conch-Republic

If they market it as a healthy option, it won’t be hot at all. That’s the universal rule.

I got two bags when Paqui bit the end because I was hooked on their ghost chips. Massive let down. They weren’t great chips, let alone spicy.

We waved a ghost pepper over the chikin. What you got a problem? Dis is the spicy. Fucktards.

I keep trying “spicy/hot” chips, and being disappointed. Maybe Takis?
