Out of my *** experiences so far ( Le calandre, EMP) this is my favorite in terms of creativity, flavor, and wine pairing. ( the portion is also significantly greater than others, though me being a tiny person … don’t count it as a plus )
Most dishes were inspired by or paying tributes to artists or artworks. The wine pairing highlighted the best and rare Piedmontese gems (great examples of Erbaluce, Favorita, Timorasso along side my favorite Barolo bottles/producers!) Piazza Duomo truly blew other restaurants I’ve been to out of the water. So did visits to my favorite Barolo/Barbaresco producers in the region. Can’t wait to go back in the truffle season.
