Had an incredible meal at Frog by Adam Handling yesterday. Was blown away by their dedication to sustainability, zero waste and local British products. Pics are:
SNACKS
1. Beef tartare with kimchi
2. Cauliflower and elderberry tart
3. Fennel and apple salad
4. Cheese doughnut
5. Egg custard
6. Interior of egg custard
7. Potato and leek soup using leftover veg from the kitchen (lovage also mentioned)
BREAD COURSE
8. Chicken wings
9. Freshly baked bread
10. Butter with chicken jus and crispy chicken skins
11. Chicken liver mousse
MAINS
12. Lamb with haggis, zucchini, lamb jus and capers
13. Scallop with chili and carrot puree
14. Optional truffle course of a sourdough waffle, truffle cream cheese, freshly shaved black truffles and birch syrup
15. Celeriac tart with cheese curds
16. A5 wagyu with green onion puree, stuffed leek, some sort of battered meat I couldn’t remember, black truffles, and beef jus (jus not pictured)
17. Optional cheese course of cheese on top of a plum Bakewell with truffle honey
PALATE CLEANSER
18. Elderflower sorbet with a honey crumble and a surprise underneath
DESSERT
19. Strawberry and white chocolate entremet situation with panna cotta inside
20. Choice of sustainably British-made chocolates. From the left- bacon and blueberry, salted caramel, earl grey and lemon macaron, orange, and blackberry.

On the whole, one of the best meals I’ve had in London. I will dream of the bread course for many years to come. We also got little cards and explainers throughout the meal that really enhanced our experience. Plus, the staff was just lovely.

This looks great. Been a bit of an Adam Handling fanboy since his time on MasterChef. Went to his place at the Caxton Grill many moons ago and then to Frog quite a few years ago now and loved both.

Will have to try to get back here at some point as it looks like he’s only upped his game since.

As an aside, him being totally nonplussed by Massimo Bottura is one of my favourite bits of TV ever.
