Made these Creme puffs in an hour, assembled some of them, and then just kinda…stared at them. I don't want them.

  1. I do this with pretty much everything I bake except brownies. I’ll eat all the brownies lol.

  2. FarPomegranate7437

lol. Not unless what I made is inedible.

As long as someone eats what you made, you can consider it a win, right?

  3. Agitated_Function_68

All of the time. I love to bake. But don’t really enjoy eating sweets. It’s easier to bake sweets and give them to people

  4. Throwawasteofspace

Nearly every time I bake. I enjoy the process of baking and the reward of having created something. I enjoy sweets, but ironically I prefer store-bought most of the time. And even then, I don’t really eat baked goods a whole lot.

If I’m baking, it’s with the intention of trying out the process the item requires and it always goes to either my workplace or to my relatives to enjoy. 😊

Every time I cook or bake something I have no interest in eating it right after!

  6. mrsristretto

Yup. If I’m baking it’s generally for someone else. Like my husband lol … unless it’s the sourdough, that’s for both of us. But tasty sweets, that’s all him.

All the time, I never eat what I bake my bf and everyone thinks it’s weird 😂

  8. peachpop123

For sure. Baking is the part I enjoy most! I just bring everything to work to buy goodwill from my coworkers. Works like a charm!

  9. Lame_usernames_left

    I guess that’s why I’m a fatass 😂 if I’m baking, I’m eating it.

And JFC those cream puffs look incredible

All day, every day. But I’m a pastry chef.

Exception is chocolate chip cookie dough. I’ll always eat that.

  11. No. If I bake I eat. Not good. In the last couple of weeks I’ve made a batch of cupcakes & an experimental Jaffa (chocolate & orange) pavlova. I did freeze some of the cupcakes but ate the Pav over about 3 days.

  12. Short_Function4704

Same.Especially pastries and cakes.I just want to make them to feel like I achieved something or to learn something new.

  13. NudeFoods

I usually eat the dough of cookies I’m baking so by the time they’re done I’ve had enoughhhhh, unless I’m stoney

  14. IcePrincess_Not_Sk8r

95% of the time, I don’t eat what I bake.

  15. Mountain_Nerve_3069

No, I’m too self-conscious to take my baked goods out of the house.

Plus all my friends and coworkers are all vegan and gluten free or what not, so.. I end up eating my own buttery and full of gluten stuff baked 😆

  16. Depends to be honest. I’ll sample but never eat a single portion.

  17. AsleepJuggernaut2066

Frequently. Baking almost always makes me feel “full”. Its an odd sensation.

  18. Monkeeparts

I bake for my family, I don’t bake for me. There are only a few deserts I enjoy.

  19. The_Giant117

I usually try a couple to make sure they’re worthy of feeding to others.

  20. Thick-Pineapple-8727

I do this when making dinner too, or when I’ve spent an afternoon making a stew or something

  21. VicFontaineHologram

Often by the time I’m done baking I’m tired of the smells/tastes of the flavors..
    It’s normal I think.

  22. StillMarie76

I do this all the time. The guys at the gas station next door reap the benefits.

  23. Hello_Badkitty

Lol no. I ONLY bake what I will eat… keeps me nice and fluffy haha.

  24. Charlietango2007

Yes, because I’m always sacrificing myself for the good of others (lol) that I’m baking for. So tasting everything to get it to the best I can takes some time for me. But by the time it’s ready I’ve already lost my taste for it. Ho hum, what we bakers do for our families.

  25. I do this with normal cooking, sat there tasting constantly and now I don’t wanna eat it cuz I already know the flavor

  26. crystalbliss03

    Me!

I dont like to eat what I baked, not because they’re bad. I just enjoy the process of making food with love and care so that I can share it with the people I love and care.

  27. littleprettypaws

I do this with cooking sometimes. When I make something that tastes a bit longer in the oven, like a braised or stew dish, I smell it cooking the whole time and by the time it’s done I’ve somehow lost my appetite.

  28. themixtapeheart

Ok I read enough comments to realize this is a very polarizing question. Now I want to know if there is some kind of scientific reasoning so many of us lose our appetite to eat what we make! It’s such a weird sensation. I taste test as I bake and cook (tbh I love batters and dough more than the finished product) so it just kills whatever craving I had to make it in the first place.

  29. Never. I love eating. That’s mostly why I bake lol.

  30. BawdyBaker

I don’t eat most of what I make because tasting during the process of making it ..by the time I’m finished Im sick of it LOL

  31. Raisingthehammer

Too many times! Luckily I have a family who doesn’t share my affliction

  32. saddingtonbear

Yeah. If my boyfriend didnt eat them all for me, they’d never get eaten.

  33. bong_guurl

It looks like 10 were baked. Only 8 on the sheet, only 4 assembled. What happened to the other 6?! 😂😉

  34. Lopsided_Berry6666

Wow what are these? They look amazing, is there a recipe for these?

  35. SardineLaCroix

No, I was literally gaining weight from this hobby (not necessarily bad but when it’s 10lbs mostly all from butter and sugar… not good for you) and had to start making myself save it for when we had company so I’m not putting away a pound cake mostly by myself every week

  36. dadfathert0n

I will say 90% of what I bake is for my fiance but I will try it!
