I’ve been following the Perfect Loaf beginner sourdough recipe for months now, but I realized we don’t eat enough of each loaf before it goes stale. So this time I divided the dough into 4 pieces and made mini loaves! Only change to cooking time was reducing the lid off portion by 5 minutes.

They look amazing! Do you freeze the one you don’t immediately eat and in that case could you describe the thaw/bake process?

Mini loaves are the best! They’re the only way I bake sourdough bread these days. So much less food waste and they’re so cute!

All I make is mini loafs because I live by myself.

    Love them.

What do you shape the mini loaves in?

  5. Omfg. Can’t wait to try this. And sourdough bread bowls. Mmmm. Yes. Please.

  6. I freeze anything not eaten by the next day and toasting them brings them back to the fresh texture. No need to throw out stale bread! I love your loaves though, how much flour do you use? I might try this to make gifts to give away.
