Definitely looks like a hot pepper though!

This looks exactly like my habanada plant, the peppers start out yellow/green like this, and take forever to turn yellow. I think they’re supposed to take about 30 days to turn color, which is the ripeness indicator

Looks like a variety i planted called– sugar rush peach— im not sure which heirloom variety it is a hybrid of

Looks like a sugar rush pepper…not overly spicy, but does have some heat. When they are ripe they will turn orange.

  5. Definitely looks like a sugar rush peach pepper. We got 2 plants going this year, trying them out this year 🙂 and they look like this. Definitely not habenaro.

Hungarian wax peppers are long and yellow, like that, and spicy. Not that bumpy, though. Maybe if intermeittent watering and heat waves, they could be hungarian wax. Of my salsa peppers mystery seed packet, I got a lot of those.

There are many, many named varieties of habaneros, and they can have differently shaped pods (i.e. not at all similar to the classic “habanero” shape sold at the grocery store)….that one may very well be a habanero that starts yellow & ripens to orange.

Not saying that’s actually the case, but it’s possible.

    peppergate strikes again!

Three of my four bell pepper plants turned out to be cubanelles

Yes, it is a habanero. One plant can have many shapes. They will turn orange after they are fully mature

Could be habanero, which have a pretty wide range of form, but also could be habanada, but they have no heat. Also similar to sugar rush, which as serrano levels of heat.

This exact thing happened to me this year. Bought habanero seeds and the peppers growing are the same as OP’s
