Very vibrant salsa from new place(no filter). If anyone wants to take a crack at how it’s made I would appreciate it!

Following because this is my fav style of restaurant salsa. I’ve tried several recipes and failed. I never know if they cook it, or fresh vs canned tomatoes… the seeds look like jalapeños

Looks like El Pato tomato sauce with onion, cilantro and jalapeno.

I would love to find a recipe for a salsa like this! I’m commenting so I remember to check back later.
tonypizzicato
I gave this a shot a couple of times. honestly, comes down to a good can of tomatoes. blend them up. dice some white onion, cilantro and whatever chili you’re feeling. I also added some lime, cumin and chipotle powder. and obviously salt.
this one looks like it’s got some charred bits so maybe they charred the chili pepper … or maybe it’s black pepper.
start there and have fun!
edit to say that obviously you have to taste it but it does develop more flavor after sitting in the fridge for a while. like, a day.

Yes! This is my favorite kind too. La Hacienda restaurants in Memphis, TN have salsa like this. I could drink it, wish I knew how to make it
