Yum!! Growing up my mom had a huge garden. Us kids would have to go out and pick the beans and then she would sit in her lawn chair, listening to the baseball game happily cutting the beans in 2 to 3 inch pieces because she would blanch and freeze them. We had delicious beans all year long. Your harvest looks beautiful.

Beans are definitely the best performer for me this year. They just keep coming.

I’m getting there as well, probably next week.

Looks good! I usually have a good crop of beans but this year, it’s been a challenge. Twice, I’ve had newly sprouted beans eaten by a vole. Finely caught the bugger, but it wasn’t until July that I replanted for the third time. Should be able to harvest beans this week.

Anyone planning on planting a fall crop of green beans? If so, how do you plan to prep your beds for the new planting?
