  1. Thank you Julia! These recipes all look incredible. Grocery prices are crazy. I'm going to try all of these over the next month or so.

  2. I used to tell my co workers that sweet potatoes were great in chili and other recipes with chili spices. They were very dubious, lol.

  3. Hi ya Julia everything looks delicious especially the sausage Alfredo. I enjoy a good budget meals video. You rock keep at it and your family is adorable. Welp that's my time keep wild bill well fed and raise those babies up right. I believe in you

  4. We shopped using this grocery list today! I already had a can of garbanzo beans, chili beans, and frozen peas at home (and all the spices), so I did not have to buy those. But, even with not getting as good of bargains on some items as Julia found, we still spent only $24.48 at our local WinCo!

So, if I did have to buy two more cans of beans, that would have just been a couple of dollars more, and we probably don't "need" the peas, given the size of frozen mixed veggies we purchased. I could have also saved a dollar by choosing a different brand for the smoked sausage, but I went with what I know we like. Also, the only brand of roasted tomatoes our store carried was rather pricey, so I bet I could have saved at least a dollar by buying that elsewhere. This is completely doable for $25!

  5. Hi, Julia! I would have loved to see what you food had left after completing all seven meals. Also, if you had had a $30 budget, with that extra four dollars, you could have bought some bananas, a few apples, and perhaps a brownie mix! ~ Have a wonderful week. 🙂

  6. God bless you, sweetheart Julia, for all you do.
    Very interesting and unique dishes.
I love it, and thanks again.

  7. Thank you for the helpful recipes and cooking tips! Even those of us that are older, I’m 74, find out new ways to combine different things for a tasty cheap meal!

  8. Hi Julia! Thank you for the great meal ideas! Grocery prices are crazy so it's nice to see new healthy meal ideas that fits anyone's budget. Have a great week! God bless you!

  9. As someone who is on a VERY limited budget but also trying to expand my available meal options THANK YOU for this.

  10. Thank you for all the great budget friendly recipes! Keep up the good work. Love your channel. 😊

  11. I made your chicken noodle casserole from your last video and it was so good. It made so much that I was able to share it with my sister and her 2 kids. It’s in my rotation now.

  12. The recipes look good but I wouldn’t use the Knorr bouillon cubes as they’re very high in salt aka sodium. 1/2 a cube has 1160 mg of sodium and can contribute to developing high blood pressure and heart problems later on. The American Heart Association recommends a daily sodium intake of 2300mg or less for all adults. I use reduced sodium bouillon paste instead. Also, I don’t like to use the canned creamed soups-I make a sauce with flour and butter (or margarine) then add milk and flavoring. The French call this a “roux”. It only takes a few minutes and tastes so much better. From retired critical care RN. Otherwise I love your videos and recipes!

  13. I love budget friendly recipes. I can even use them anytime and add meat occasionally. I bet that stew is amazing with cornbread. Thank you for working out ways we can all afford to have a delicious filling meal.

  14. I went with my husband to the grocery today. We go to Walmart too. But we spent more like two hundred twenty five. And there’s just two of us. I did splurge on some San Marzano tomatoes. They were close to $4.00 a can. Of course, I bought cheaper diced tomatoes. I wanted to try those kind of tomatoes. I’m hoping I don’t really like them, they’re too expensive. I want to make some lasagna. My husband bought lasagna noodles by mistake and I have to use them sometime. I picked out the meat. Which was some chicken tenders and pork chops. We sometimes have meatless dinners because it’s cheaper. Now I’m trying to figure out what I can make out of these recipes. I already have some things in the freezer. I should have gotten some more hamburger at the store today, my husband said he’s not going back to the store until next week. So I’ll make do with what we have .

  15. I’ve just found you and I’m so glad. Even though I’ve been cooking for 40 years, it’s so great to get new ideas and actually see them put together. I get so tired of the same old stuff. Hubby and I really want to cut our food expenses and eat less meat and these were great! Thanks for putting this out there for us!

  16. Julia, you continue to surprise us with the thought process of putting these foods together and saving money at the same time. Thank you!❤❤❤

  17. I wish I had watched this before I made supper. I just made the knife parmesan noodles and ham. I have mixed vegetables and could have added them.

I don't know why I never use half of a lb of ground meet. I make at least a double batch of chilli, because I don't wit needs a lot of meet. Amazigly, I've never used just half a pound in a single recipe. I get so many ideas from you.

Story about baby carrots. Originally baby carrots were cut from misshapen carrots. At that time they were even more expensive.

    Have a nice week.

  18. While I appreciate what you are trying to do, what is innacurate is your definition of “healthy.” None of the items you selected are “healthy.” NONE of it. You chose all highly procossed, high GMO garbage, which are really the majority of “food” in the grocery stores today.

  19. Just an idea for someone doing this. If you find kale cheap, it could give you a side salad with the carrot and onion. Kale would also give you the option of adding Sausage, kale and white bean soup as another meal option.

  20. very inspiring Video Julia 😁Tip: Making Dry Chickpeas; Put dry chickpeas in pot cover with 2" water bring to a boil, shut it off, let it sit 2 hours, boil for 20 minutes again, cool slightly drain package in zip loc bags. Once frozen bash around a bit to break them up use as desired. great for cooling off childrens soups and stews, hummus or any other idea you may have.
