I would eat that entire beautiful thing with a cup of coffee

I love making this! Cranberry, walnut and brown sugar is another good filling, tried doing a Nutella one and it wasn’t pretty but tasted gorgeous

As someone who loves cinnamon this looks absolutely beautiful! You have far more patience than I do by the look of your decoration too!

I love that recipe!!! The first time I made it I was so surprised at how such a simple technique could produce such an elaborate looking result. And your star bread looks sensational!

I’ve always wanted to try, but I really lack the counter space. I’ve seen chocolate and Nutella versions, as well as savory versions with herbs and cheese.

Oooh I just marked this recipe (or a version of it) in my Christmas baking cookbook, haha. Now I may have try it sooner!

Star bread is so much fun, and it’s so easy (compared to shaping a babka or even just knots).

An unsweetened dough and a savory filling is great too. I made one with some leftover olive tapenade and cheese (did tapenade, cheese, tapenade for the fillings) one time, it was delicious.
