I’d probably prefer it in humus form on a sandwich

Can’t say I have ever tried that. Don’t even do hummus too often. Will have to add this to the list!

This looks delicious! Which recipe did you use?

At a store near me they make a “curried chickpea salad” super good

  5. Chickpeas are one of the few healthy things I just do not like. Growing up we called them “garbanzo beans.”

They taste like fresh… I don’t know what they even taste like but it isn’t good, to me. Weird texture too.

    I love hummus though.

Tastes peanut butterish to me, maybe more peanut flavor

  7. Don’t they fall out?! I’d make a mess. Looks fabulous!

Wish I could. I love chickpeas but they make me so sick.

Takes first bite *Picks up the chickpeas all over the floor for the next five minutes*

  10. Omg yes!! I tried a few months ago too!! Absolutely delish!

  11. Try it with the bread they use for “doubles”. It’s like a fried, curried bread, and usually topped with curried chick peas, and it’s one of my favorite foods of all time. I’m sure it would be great. Your version also looks amazing though, would eat!!

Do the peas stay in the sandwich when you bite it?

I’ve never actually have a chickpea sandwich, but that looks like my salad I had last night, lettuce, tomato, slices of onions, tossed with a cup of chickpeas tossed on top.

I was very skeptical about chickpea salad being any good until curiosity finally got the better of me, and I made some. It’s great. I love it!

I smash my chickpeas and proceed to prepare them like I’m making tuna salad. But yes, it is delicious.

  16. I make a chickpea « tuna » salad with chipotle mayo, fresh green onions, shallots, parsleys and chives.

It’s better than tuna or chicken salad.
