I made a post yesterday about it so today I finally had it for lunch. I was expecting a very strong and bitter taste but it was actually so good and enjoyable even alone to me! I tried it alone first, then with soy sauce (I really liked it with just soy sauce) and then I added mustard even if I don’t usually like it, but once mixed it definitely added a particular taste that I liked. I ate it with congee made with a bit of fried rice spice mix and spring onion + chives. I think the taste may vary depending on the brand and quality, but I will 100% buy it again, I love that its so rich in protein, fibers and super good for gut health as well as all fermented foods.
Oh and it definitely smells like “coffee flavoured things” as I read here before, its so true haha, which made me enjoy it even more.
