Oh man, Friday, I really wanted an egg salad sandwich and I was just obsessing about it and I was like, ‘Man, I’m gonna make one of those.’ So Saturday, I went out and got, like, a dozen eggs and then I boiled them all and I just, I spent, I dunno, probably three hours, like three and a half hours making, you know, the mayonnaise, and the onions and paprika and, you know, the necessary accoutrement. And then, by the time I was done, I didn’t really feel like like eating it.

Did you just push the eggs through that tray?

  3. CharlotteLucasOP

I get choppy with a knife to dice them up

I keep saying I don’t like egg salad but then I see these sandwiches and damn

How are you prepping them? I see what looks like around a tbsp of mayo, mustard, a generous amount of paprika and some black pepper?

Oh, I’ve been meaning to make some egg salad sandwiches. This post might’ve given me the push to finally do it. Or at least add what I need to my grocery list.

  7. Looks yum. Is that bacon on top?

Mine is Dukes mayo, Dijon mustard, fresh lemon juice, Vidalia onion, smoked paprika, fresh dill, salt.

Same way I make my tuna and potato salads pretty much. Guess I’m boring lol

My Mimi always added chopped green olives to her egg salad, I love it that way.

We used to do the same method at an old soul food restaurant I worked at. Works like magic!

Wish I could jump into the screen now and DEVOUR this beauty!!!! Maybe add a tiny touch of sliced onion n diced up and if you want any crunch tiny bits of celery albeit I prefer without those.

Lately, I’ve been stuffing hotdog buns with egg salad and potato chips.

Damn… you are a master of this sandwich

A cheese grater to grate the eggs, sweet relish, mayo, bit of creole mustard and pepper.

  14. If I’m just making it for myself I separate the yolks and whites then mash the yolks, add necessary ingredients to make what is essentially a dressing (mayo, oil, lemon juice, spices, herbs). Then I roughly chop the egg whites and fold them in rather than mashing everything together. Creates more textures but takes far more time

  15. i just roast them on parchment paper for 7 minutes at 350.

  16. After they’re peeled, I just push mine through the biggest holes on my cheese grater. I like the even texture. I’ve known about using a rack to push them through but I prefer the less chunky texture of the grater.

Egg slicer, add mayo, mustard, salt and pepper to taste, then a dash of malt vinegar and Worcestershire for the umami. The egg slicer is incredibly quick. Stirring it all with a big spoon breaks it up enough for me- I like it somewhat chunky.

Medium boiled, cut them open and scoop the yolks out. Into the yolks, add kewpie Mayo, a small dot of mustard and a pinch of salt, combine until smooth. Chop up the whites into ~1-2 cm chunks and stir it all together. For extra showiness, I leave one of the eggs whole after peeling and put it in the middle of the sandwich, cutting it in half to show off the yolk

I absolutely hate tomatoes…but somehow those in the third picture look absolutely delicious.

I make deviled eggs then I roughly chop them so big white chunks with deviled egg mix between

I just the ground beef masher. I also buy the bag of hardboiled eggs, I don’t have the patience to do it anymore 🤣 I use mustard, mayo, Dijon, relish, paprika, onion and garlic powder and Himalayan sea salt and call it a day.

Last time I separated the yolks, mixing those with mayo and mustard and making it real creamy. I pushed the whites through my air fryer’s little mesh base, and mixed those into the yolk mixture. Added salt pepper and paprika.

I also really like the less creamy more normal version, with a touch of pickle juice and small pieces of pickled cucumbers.

  23. My mum used to boil some eggs, shell, then coarsely crush them with a fork in a bowl. Add a little milk then salt and pepper. Fresh white bread, butter then a layer of smashed egg. If the eggs were still warm, the butter might melt a little into the mix as well.

  24. I have an egg slicer for that. But that’s a great idea if it ever breaks.

“Alright gang. I’m not gonna lie to you; you’re going in a sandwich.”

  26. I can just tell by your dish-ware that you’re throwing some heat in that kitchen. I don’t even like egg salad and I’d house this

i use my grandma’s (thanks nanny!) wire egg slicer from the 40’s then add salt, pepper, mayo, chopped celery. mix it good, then eat!

they have hb eggs in my cafeteria at work – i may have to make a rough midday mix in the plastic cup they come in!

Well I certainly wouldn’t use a dirty, rusty old rack like that. A nice clean fork will quickly and easily crumble eggs for a sandwich.
