I think if you like the steak the way it was made then you did good. I would have preferred more crust and a more medium rare but tastes vary!
I DO think if you’re eating steak every week I suspect you are not broke. Doesn’t mean you have loads of cash either, but being broke in college means Eating cheap shit like ramen on the reg, working a job to afford bills + going out to eat with friends sometimes at places offering student specials and when you do go out bring back tons of extras (condiments, coffee creamers, plastic utensils etc.) to hoard at home lol. Not trying to diminish what you’re doing, this is a great way to spend time with friends! Just sharing some perspective

I remember I used to think this was a good idea. Now I wish I would have put that money to my student loans so I can start my life….. #33 still paying….. still live in an apt….. have an excellent job with wonderful benefits.

You can eat steak at home cheaper than going to McDonald’s. If a college student said they ate fast food one meal a week nobody would be giving them a hard time about being broke.

Lmao bro I am 6 years OUT of college and only get steaks maybe every other month. I lived on easy mac, ramen, dining hall food, gas station food, and tacos through college. And I worked through college too 😂

Me and my broke college friends used to treat ourselves to steak on a near daily basis by shoving them down our pants, not proud of it but we ate good and had moneys left over for the more important stuff like drugs and alcohol.
