I’m having a hard time figuring out the cut. Is it a cut off ribeye cap?

Wonderfully marbled steak that got killed by whoever was cutting it. That is really painful to see. I actually feel bad that a blessed cow got treated with this level of disrespect.

Not sure why people are saying this is cut in half. Fine rib-eye, looks good to me.

    A butcher did this?
What Costco, so we never go.

Very strange looking steak. What does the label say?

The fat vein in the center is suspect.

That looks good! Never had a costco steak before

Costco has wonder prime beef. I buy it there for my home kitchen (I’m a chef) all the time!

Unfortunately you need to cook Costco meat throughout because of the mechanical tenderizing they do.

This is just a normal oddly shaped ribeye. The first cut off the chuck end. The eye is bottom right, the top and middle left are ribeye cap.

Thought I would beat the “don’t buy at costco is blade tenderized dweebs, but didn’t, already some here. sigh.

Now I’d pay $20/lb for that. $25 maybe, would have to try.
