Pouring this one felt good. I got a small espresso machine in May from some friends who were moving away and I am finally starting to get the hang of latte art. Watching some youtube videos really helped understand conceptually what latte art is and how it works. And then practice makes perfect. Finally after a couple months I am getting much more consistent!
I see all the time here some really expensive set ups but just wanted to humbly brag that I can still make some pretty dang good coffee with my Delonghi Dedica. I did upgrade the steam wand, get a bottomless portafilter, wdt, dosing funnel, and tamper. Grinder is 1Zpresso J-Ultra.
Obviously looks have nothing to do with how it tastes but I can assure you it tastes great.
Currently brewing DAKs Milky Cake, getting some strong graham cracker/cardamom notes.
For those curious, milk is Chobani oat milk original…seems to work even better than califia farms barista oat milk.

You be shopping for more steaming pitchers now lol. Some are really fun to pour with. Like the ones with no handles.
Pretty. I’ll get there one day. Got 58 more years to go!
Maybe you could make a video? Most videos are not all that helpful.
That’s beautiful
Your latte art is definitely on the right track! The heart shape is well-defined, and the symmetry is solid, which shows you’ve got a good handle on your pour speed and milk texture. The contrast between the crema and the milk foam is also nice, so you’re steaming your milk properly.
That said, if I were to nitpick, the edges of the heart could be a bit crisper. This usually comes down to controlling the flow of milk just a little more precisely—maybe slowing down the pour slightly as you finish the design. Also, working on your microfoam consistency might help you get even smoother, more velvety pours, which can make a big difference in the final look.
It’s all part of the journey, though, and you’re clearly making great progress. If you keep practicing, you’ll refine those details and get even more consistent results. Also, if you’re ever looking to step up your setup, my site [cremacrafters.com](https://cremacrafters.com) has a Labor Day sale this weekend with $75 off the Ascaso Dream PID using the code **ASCASO75OFF**—just a thought if you’re considering a gear upgrade! Keep pouring!
