Had my first one in Boston area last October and I’m itching to go back for another!

I posted a homemade lobster roll and I haven’t been murdered yet. I think you’re safe.

Did you get any fried clams as a side, OP?

Rolls absolutely qualify and it looks great!!! That butter shines…

  6. No_Background_8703

Never had one, but I can’t tell where the lobster ends and the roll begins. Guess that’s a good thing!

I looked at the small thumbnail and thought this was lobster ice cream. For a split second I thought they finally did it 😔.

Standing on line at Red’s for an hour … no thanks.

The lobster looks amazing but wtf is up with the roll? I’d take a hotdog bun over that

That sandwhich looks like you take 1 bite and the rest falls on the floor

I am deathly allergic to lobster but every time I see a picture of a beautiful lobster roll like this one I seriously think about risking it all.

Can someone help me out with the logistics of eating one of these? Are we eating 100% lobster till we get to the roll and then eating 10% lobster 90% roll bites? Trying to eat one of these the way you would a hot dog or sub just ain’t happening.

  13. CleverRizzo

I tend disagree insofar as lobster rolls fall into the same culinary category as a hotdog; the vertical orientation rules them out of the sandwich category. AND, there is no way I’d turn my nose up at this lobster roll — it looks delicious, and I want one with a beer on the side, and some thick sea-salted potato chips, please

My town just won best lobster roll in the state and it’s incredible, this looks really good!

I had a lobster roll at Charlotte Airport waiting on my next flight. Fast forward a few hours I’m turning right with my head out the window puking my guts out of my rental car. Nearly crashed into oncoming traffic, definitely puked on someone else’s car and ended up in the median. Puked in the grass fo god knows how long. When there was nothing left I drove to my hotel 2min up the road, check in and barely made it to my hotel bathroom before losing it again. I’ve never had another lobster roll and i never will.

Regional cuisine rules! We don’t have anything near that where I live. That looks absolutely delicious.

I will allow you to count Lobster Rolls but only if you acknowledge that a hot dog is also a sandwich.

The physics of this thing is boggling my mind.

Becoming allergic to shellfish in my 30s is the worst thing to ever happen to me

SPREAD MY CHEEKS AND STUFF YOUR ROLE RIGHT INSIDE MY PUCKERED HOLE!!!

  21. item_raja69

That looks like lobster on on side of a bread slice

  22. thatsnotyourtaco

If you think a hotdog qualifies, then a lobster roll does as well if you’re in the camp that a hot dog doesn’t qualify then I don’t think he would feel that a lobster roll would

  23. Bulky_Ninja33

Damn right they do, they’re some of my faves!! Please throw one down to Texas, thanks!

  24. improbabble

Nice! How long was the line? Next time you’re back in Wiscasset try Jolie Roger right around the corner from Red’s: amazing fresh oysters, great view and friendly staff.

I’ve only ever had one once, and I feel like it must have not been representative based on everyone’s posts here. Tasted like a tuna sandwich, but more expensive. Was in Bangor.
