Ever since I saw some posts on here with mislabeled meat I look for it every time I’m at the store.

Walked into BJs and found prime ribeyes labeled as eye rounds.

I bought every pack they had lol.

  1. $5.59/lb is a lot for an eye round lol. Enjoy those!

  2. Good job OP. Now there’s a really pissed, really dishonest butcher brooding around your town.

But to be honest, the serial killer risk is worth it for cheap ribeye. Just lock your doors at night…

This is what happens when they let the intern label the meat lol

Theirs an employee in bjs who’s really pissed you ruined his labor day bar b q.
If you’re looking for a good cut of beef cheap, check the bottom of a stack of cheap cuts. That’s usually where they hide them.

    LOVE THIS!!

I couldn’t agree with you more. One of the most satisfying small victories in life

  6. You should have come to my store today. The new clerk weighed a whole case of Chuck roasts as pork chops at 2.99/lb

Damn… This is more than I pay for ribeyes in Texas.

  9. That’s some lucky shit.. Happened to me before with lamb ribs.. Did the same thing and took em all..

  10. Next time check the t bone and porterhouses. Big market stores usually have porterhouses labeled as t bone and you can get a great deal with those too.

My wife bought flank steak from Costco once and I was going to make pinwheels, however when I looked at the package they were tenderloins. Total score that night.
