Would Eggs Benedict be considered an open face sandwich?
Also, I made it on a pretzel bun instead of an english muffin and it was the right move. I also melted some unexpected shredded cheddar on the bun, and topped off the whole thing with pickled red onion. đ

Creative license so, I’ll say absolutely it’s a sandwich!

Generally itâs eaten with a knife and fork so Iâd argue no but itâs on toasted bread so yeah

HuhâŠ.okay so sandwiches are some of my favorite foods and I just came back from a 5 day cruise where all I ate at brunch was Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. No wonder why it was all I ordered because subconsciously itâs a sandwich and theyâre my favorite meals!!!

Lots of things are served on a slice of bread but are not sandwiches; Eggs Benedict, for example. Having said that, this looks mighty delicious, and Iâm glad it made an appearance here

Yes. There are only two types of multiingredient food. Sandwiches and salads. The only difference is the level of organization. Sandwiches are lawful, like pizza, hot dogs, Benedict, and cakes. Salads are chaotic, like soups, cereals, trail mix, and spaghetti.
I hope this helps!

They are not sandwiches according to the cube rule, but do fit âopen-facedâ as you mentioned. Starch on bottom, protein on top. Things like nigiri or pizza fit into this category more broadly.
