Wife and I had a quick escape from our 3 kiddos for the weekend. Scoured this subreddit for dining and food recommendations, and they did not disappoint.

Sepia.

Wanted a Michelin star restaurant experience without paying an arm and a leg. For $110 per person, Sepia was a fantastic option. Highlights included the beef carpaccio, roasted scallop, short rib, and the duck breast. Wine pairings were great as well. Service was fantastic. (They were able to push our reservation back from 8pm to 10pm due to travel delays).

Do-Rite Donuts.

Walked past two Stan’s Donut shops to get to Do Rite. Donuts are the one food item I have a palette for, especially apple fritters. Do-Rite did not disappoint. Great flavor, not overly sweet, great fry on the donut. The old fashioned was A+.

The Purple Pig.

Great homemade pasta, great service, wonderful flavors. Squid ink pasta was great along with my bucatini.

Thanks again! Hope to be back soon. (Please be kind to my governor at the upcoming DNC)
