I love pickle juice, but I don’t know that I’d drink off store-bought pickles

No. I do it all the time.
fightinirishpj
Doesn’t that kill your stomach with the acidity and salt content?
Don’t get me wrong. I can do a spoonful, but straight up drinking a significant amount seems like an unhealthy thing to do.
I use the juice as a brine for chicken all the time instead.

Dude, I use pickle juice in my coleslaw, relish, salsa and anything that needs a bit of acidity and I don’t have lemon juice. Sometimes I have a chug.

I use it to brine chicken and pork if they’re getting breaded and air fried.

I pickle my own stuff – But once the jar is empty I decant it into a bottle and use it when I’m cooking.

It’s a great hangover cure. I’ll just leave it at that.

I love adding a bit to a bloody mary

Bro, the sodium coming of that has to be through the roof, right? Or is it just vinegar?

Pro-tip: use that juice for marinades and dressings. Yesterday I used some leftover pickled jalapeno juice to marinade chicken wings, super juicy and flavorful

It’s good for adding to Bloody Mary’s.

There used to be this BBQ spot that had a water dispenser full of pickle juice. When I was hungover, I would go in there and grab a cup. Never tried their food. Just the free pickle juice.

I love doing this! Especially with jalapeños!!

I add a splash to ramen soups (not legit ramen broth, but veggie/meat soup with ramen noodles). Pops the flavor somewhat similar to Chinese black vinegar, just less expensive. Best with spicy pickles and no sugar added.
Asche111
Nope. I started drinking if after hockey practice when I was 12 and, turns out, it’s quite common.

I hope you are.

Yes, more for you.

Banana paper juice is my favorite, it’s like a barely spicy pickle juice, very refreshing
umpfke
I use it as dressing sometimes. But only if the jar was emptied within a month after the first *pop*.

Absolutely not. “pickleback” is a favorite shooter with whiskey. Not whisky.
