All prepped seared and eaten inside of my truck. Prime grade new york strip 9$ from walmart. I dry brine 24 hrs. SPG cast iron sear rest for 10 minutes and add a dab of Kerry gold unsalted. I totally smoked the guy out next to me in the parking lot searing this one lol. I was aiming for the exact crust I got but a med rare. I went slightly beyond that. I'm thinking I probably hit medrare when I pulled off then during resting it cooked a bit more. It was a steak and anime kind of night for me and more people need to know about it. lol

Happy birthday. You deserve it.
personally 10/10 – Looks great, would be happy any time my own steak came out like that

definitely would not believe that was cooked on a semi truck
8/10. deduction for grey band – but i am picky – looks good, needs finishing sea salt 🙂

Looks great!!
Out of curiosity, what’s your cooking setup like while you’re out on the road?
Delicious looking medium
I just posted mine a day ago….I’m taking notes on that crust 👌🏾👌🏾
Great birthday gift.. Enjoy, and honk the horn one time for me..
Looks amazing. Happy bday
I’m not a giant fan of steak like this but everyone has a preference. I’d say it looks great for a “medium” to “medium-well” steak. I prefer my steak to be “rare” just for reference. Happy birthday though ! 😉
Very nice good sir
A bit overdone like u said but otherwise great job. Techniques are on point as well. A friend of mine was raving about dry brine and I can’t wait to try it again. Last time I did it I used fine table salt and that was a huge mistake lol.
Enjoy!
