I’m not sure what’s going on at the Lucy’s on Broadway and Wilson but their burgers are always so mid? I hate places that don’t melt the cheese on a burger. Why am I getting cold cheese on a warm burger? That makes literally no sense. Anyone else having this experience?

My experiences with Lucy’s have never been as bad as yours, but I first discovered Lucy’s (Humboldt Park) a couple of years ago and the couple of times I’ve been there, I’ve always thought it was only okay. I’ve also only have ever had their fries and chicken sandwiches.
Had the burger once and that was enough for me. Their chicken has been consistent tho. Not amazing, just decent.
I love their chicken sandwich. Only ever had that from the humboldt location though
I’ve only had their chicken sandwich twice. A year or so ago I loved it…had it a few weeks ago and honestly was incredibly disappointed. Not like it was bad, but the quality went down massively, as did the portion of chicken on the sandwich. I’ll stick with parsons I suppose
I only ever went once, and almost every restaurant has down days, but I’ve been pretty confused about the hype around their chicken sandwich on here after my experience. It was passable but not something I’d ever go out of my way for.
I don’t think their burgers have ever been great despite being named after a burger. Especially with Ragadan down the street. The thing they are really known for is the Chicken Sandwiches. I personally love the Bacon Jam chicken sandwich and it’s the one item there I will go out of my way for.
As an aside, I got the pulled pork sandwich recently just to try instead of the usual Bacon Jam. It was honestly the worst pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had anywhere near that price point. The super sweet and sticky bbq sauce might work on loaded fries, but on a burger where it stands on its own it’s just clawingly sweet and overwhelms everything else. It was a struggle to finish.
Never thought it was good
It’s always been bad. Just a pretty nice first few date spot type of place. In my opinion.
I always stick with the chicken sandwiches and they always hit. Maybe it was just a bad one off? I live around there and rarely do I leave Lucy’s disappointed
Go to Parson’s next
They started with a food truck known for their chicken sandwich. I’d never order the burger there tbh.
Never had the Burger but the pulled Pork with fries is well worth it
Maybe I’m just hungry but that looks pretty ok.
Spicy chicken sandwich and fries at the Humboldt Park location
The burger image is from the kids menu and is the exact meal my 3 year old GS had a month ago. I thought is was a great burger for a child. Your post is a little misleading.
We order our food from the regular menu and always find the food and service outstanding.
Humboldt Park location.
I’ve never understood the hype of that place
They still don’t use real utensils huh? Their wasteful practices are a huge part in me not wanting to go there.
I only get their chicken and bacon jam sandwich. They always struck me as more of a chicken than a burger place. I’d probably go somewhere else for one of those
Fully melted cheese requires that the slice be placed on the cooking burger early enough in the process.
