Made with a few simple ingredients, this Financier recipe is delicate, buttery, and full of nutty flavor. These financiers are a classic bite-sized browned butter almond tea cake that you often find in a French patisserie. They make for the perfect dessert or snack served alongside a morning coffee or afternoon tea.

  1. I love this channel but let’s be realistic! Who the hell bakes with a bouquet of flowers next to the mixing bowl. Please go back to the way you used to bake without the staging of the work table

  2. I love brown butter in Frosting. OMG it is so delicious I frost Pumpkin cookies Spice cake. You will get hooked on this stuff quickly…

  3. That is so interesting I think I'm going to use my mini loaf pans that way I could make an interesting decoration with almonds and raspberry in the same little cake

  4. Brown butter making is very close to indian ghee making. The recipe is so delicious that I try them soon 😋 Thank you !

  5. These look so great! A few questions: can I use strawberry and blueberries?
Also, John usually says bake until a skewer comes out clean. Other bakers say bake until a few moist crumbs are on the skewer because if you bake until the skewer comes out clean the dessert will keep baking and likely overbake. How can I know what types of baked goods need a clean skewer and which need moist crumbs?

  6. John, my new cookbook came a few days ago. Right now I’m just enjoying reading it, but soon I will start experimenting. Thanks for the great recipes.

  7. These desserts look simple yet delectable. Can you use a standard size muffin pan for this recipe? Thanks!

  8. Okay, so quick question…can these little cakes be made without the almond flour?…I’m allergic to nuts.😢 if so, what flour would you recommend? Thanks!
