  5. Cooked beet stems with an acidic sauce is to die for if you find a recipe for it. There is also a Lithuanian beet soup with cucumbers and kefir that is amazing ❤

  6. I highly recommend you try Ethiopian beet wot (key sir wot) . It’s one of Ethiopians cuisine/food it’s so delicious you will Definitely like it.

    3. Cook the Grated Beets:
    • Add the grated beets to the pan with the onions and garlic.
    • Stir well to combine and season with salt and black pepper.
    • Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes until the beets are tender and have absorbed the flavors from the onions and garlic.
    4. Finish and Serve:
    • Once the beets are tender, taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired.
And then eat it with bread since you don’t have injera(Ethiopian a soft, spongy flatbread made from teff flour, commonly eaten in Ethiopia and Eritrea. It has a slightly sour taste and is used as both a plate and a utensil. You tear off pieces of injera to scoop up stews and salads, making it an essential part of many meals in these cultures.)
    I hope u try it love u ❤❤

  7. I cut my beets into perfect little ‘game dice’ sized cubes then boil them just long enough to fork tender. Then I make a kale salad with just the massaged kale and the beets! Maybe kind of a sweet vinaigrette and it’s amazing, I served it at a Christmas dinner once and it was a winner.

  8. Beautiful! I love oven roasted beets with some herbs. My #1 tip for a new grower would be to focus on growing things you love to eat so its worth all the effort. Also I highly recommend planting flowers alongside your veggies because it will encourage pollinators to come help your plants produce fruit! 🌱💕

  9. Your content is such breath of fresh air. I adore how authentic and true to yourself you always are, it’s such an inspiration 🩵

  10. I wish I can do harvesting myself but I have no clue where to start to do it well and successfully. You have a great turn out! Awesome looking beets. Apart from that, I can tell that you are a laid back, honest woman. Just chill personality…I am the same way. My husband and I and our kids just love to be laid back. We don't need grand to feel entertained. When we move into a bigger home I may look into planting as well. Blessings~

  11. We grow beets in our garden. They started to pop out of the soil, we just left them like that for a while and they tasted the same. You could cover the bottom in soil, but idk if it will change the result.

  12. I just like juicing my beets with either watermelon and strawberries or peaches and strawberries lol. It's really good. My kids love it too.

  13. Beetroot risotto is one of my favourite uses of beetroot.

Otherwise, beetroots are good with potatoes, onions, garlic, carrots, parsnips or parsley root, olive oil, salt, pepper, and perhaps some thyme roasted in the oven. Simple but tasty.

If you want to preserve them pickled beetroot is also great and a culinary stable some places in the world.

  14. Pickled beets in brine to add to salads or as a snack or side dish. Also, straight up making Beet Juice…all delicious!
