I hesitate to call it Detroit style with the sauce hidden, but beyond satisfied anyway

Now I’m no expert but I think Detroit style can be characterised as being a square, thick pizza with frico crust.

At the very least this’d be Detroit adjacent.

This 80KnotsV1Rotate style pizza looks great!

looks so good, I wish I could get behind thick crust

Detroit style is how its made sauce up top or not, so you’re good

Detroit native here… I’m almost positive that our pizza does not specify for sauce on top. If you’ve ever had Jets Pizza, their detroit deep dish does not have sauce on top… just an example

Jets does it this way as well, still a Detroit imo

Idk it looks like the pizza 20min away (in Detroit) from me so yeah id say Detroit pizza for sure!

Not a fan of thick crust but that looks delicious

Detroit/metro Detroit my whole life. I had never heard of Detroit pizza having sauce on top until being on this sub haha. Looks great.

Nice pizza! crisp edges that’s a Detroit pizza there are purists that will call it a grandma pie or not Detroit for reasons mentioned. Don’t listen to them listen to the local Detroit folk

  11. Sauce belongs under the cheese. Unless you’re trying to make “Buddy’s” pizza then this is Detroit.
