Also if anyone has any advice on whether i should get original or vertuo – i’ve heard vertuo doesn’t allow for any other brand or kind of capsule while original does? Thanks!

para ser sincera quase nada, mas a moagem dos cafés da vertuo são diferentes + o modo de extração então não falamos que eles são iguais e sim semelhantes mas cada um tem a sua particularidade

Those are different capsules for different machines. Vertuo is more specific, that’s right. Many companies use the original capsules form factor, Starbucks, ily, etc. Vertuo however have a higher caffeine content. So if that’s important to you and you’re interested in mostly nespresso, go for vertuo. For more options, go original.

Regarding pods, in the US where I live, the alternate Vertuo option I have seen is *$. Williams-Sonoma carried them years ago, but now they only have the original. I hope this changes soon. For the machine choice, if you want a sizeable cup of coffee, the Vertuo line is probably a better option. They have multiple sizes of pours available and espresso-ish pods (not real espresso because the Vertuo doesn’t use steam & pressure). I own both a Vertuo and an Inissia and love the flexibility. I like that I have the freedom to buy other pods outside of just Nespresso’s with the original line.
