  1. This 11 year old Sangiovese is still drinking nicely.

Showing red and black fruits with wood, earth, vegetables, spices, light oak and chocolate notes.

Showing nice complexity, but a little unbalanced.

I definitely like it better with age.

A blend of 80% Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

    13.5% alcohol by volume.

    89 points.

    $30.

I’ll always have a fondness for this bottle. We had it with an outstanding shared table side carved steak in Florence. While we tried many others, there’s something to be said about a pairing with a great meal and company to keep it in your current lineup.

A nice 11 year old Chianti. Dr. Lecter would be delighted to have a glass from this bottle especially because of his fava beans he ordered for dinner 🙂
