I have been holding out for this grinder and it seems to keep getting pushed back for a US release. Are the delays due to supply chain disruptions or manufacturing issues? Has Mazzer put out any statements? I have not seen anything solid but rumors on Reddit.

I gave up and got a Timemore 078s and am happy enough with it 😬😭

I check Mazzer’s website every now and then. I am waiting also. My guess: Christmas 2024.

Sprometheus on YouTube mentioned something about an issue with vibrations and putting rubber feet on the US models. I think it is a design issue that needs to be resolved before it ships

I don’t understand the Mazzer hype when there are so many other grinders out there these days.

They were set in their ways for a really long time and building inferior commercial grinders (motors press fit into housings, on demand dosing with major static issues, loosing grind settings when taking apart to clean).

Don’t get me wrong, their stuff tends to “just work” and work pretty damn well at a commercial level, but not something I’d be waiting for months or years.

I’m on the “checking website daily for release window” bandwagon

Was wanting one but ended up getting a Lagom P64. Yup, I know it’s more $$ but it’s a great grinder

I believe there is a holdup on a ETL certification.

“All of our Mazzer grinders have an ETL certification. ETL certification insures that a manufacturer is utilizing quality components for product safety, and ongoing inspections and site visits by ETL insure that manufacturers do not deviate from those standards of product safety. Ultimately, this insures you that internal components are not changed (usually cost cutting) without the approval of ETL.”

So it can be commercially used in Coffee Shops, restaurants etc. Mazzer is taking the extra steps.

The most common is “ETL Listed” which certifies the machine for workplace safety. They also have a specific “ETL Sanitation” mark which denotes sanitation and food safety. Many machines will have both marks, and these certifications are valid throughout the USA and Canada.
