If I could give The Dabney more than 5 stars, I would! The pork loin was the highlight—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, while the corn grits were creamy and rich, making for an unforgettable pairing. The cozy atmosphere and commitment to local ingredients only enhance the experience, and the attentive service ties it all together. A must-visit in DC!

  1. The Dabney is a wonderful restaurant.

    For all its obsession with local ingredients, it never gives the impression of being pretentious.

    It somehow remains good, simple, cooking.

    I will say that that cornbread is filling af.

    You could probably survive on eating one of those (and nothing else) a month.

  2. I went about four years ago and to be honest, after all the hype, I was not that impressed. Atmosphere, staff, and presentation were all lovely but I felt like the food was very salty. When I went it was pretty packed so perhaps that had an impact. Again, I thought it was a lovely dinner but a bit overhyped. With that said I would definitely be down to try again!
