    hoesntly steaks are the most satisfying to cook but hardest to perfect; ill give tips, most were learned by ThatGuyCanCook from youtube;

    -sear a steak; wait till oil is smoking on pan (use vegetable over olive always, high smoke point).
    -put aromatics last. it tastes better as a coating rather than a soaking. and it also helps retain flavor when you add the aromatics in a second fry. (more on that now)
    -sear a steak and move it around every 40ish seconds, the pan loses heat afterall, if you move steak around the pan itll sear perfectly i promise.
    -Sear a steak then fry it seperately. sear on high, flavor on low. (aromatics, asperagus, squash and such)

    ->garlic leave skin on and you can toss in at start in sear stage if i am correct though havent had a chance to try (always short on garlic somehow, fuckin vampires.)
    ->Shallots/steak onions; dont waste time on a pan sauce; cut them in half as is and put them down in the Flavor stage
    ->transitioning from the sear to flavor; Take the Steak off and rest when sear develops; put everything except the steak in first in the flavor phase, especially the shallots, put the shallots then wait a minute, then add the other stuff, then the steak then flip the shallots.
    ->Butter in flavor stage obviously add first before anything (i lied saying shallots were first).
    ->the sound of the steak and oil will develop a sort of muscle memory which will be most reliable of telling you if its cooked to your liking. ive tried many methods, honestly just listen to your food, itll tell ya, if your unsure double check you didnt miss anything else that might be causing unease.

    ->you will not find anything cooking related on this profile.

    =tldr; sear steak first, let rest, add butter then fry literally everything else, then steak.
