Got this by the glass at a restaurant yesterday evening. Citrus spritz and a touch of sea breeze in the nose. Honeyed lemon, mild salted butter and wet stones on the palate.

Reminds me how people here often shun buying the label. I’d agree for the most part if it weren’t for Burgundy – where labels DO matter imo and is definitely what you should look for when getting Burgundy wines. By that I mean look for good producers more so than the terroir.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’d rather have a Bourgogne Blanc from Coche or Leroy than a Montrachet from Latour.

Picking up and trying my first bottle of PYCM in a few days! Very excited to see what all the buzz is about this producer.

There’s a big difference between bragging about the expensive and fancy producers you drink and seeking out wines from producers that you enjoy. Or bragging about the Grand Cru that you just opened when you could have scoped out a rock-solid 1er from an overlooked village. And I agree with you; I’d rather grab a “lower” classification from an amazing producer than pay for the fancy cru.
