TL/DR: nothing short of perfection.

If anyone is interested I can share a pic of the menu, but I do not want to share too many details for anyone planning to go in the future.

General impression:
Great location and impressive and imposing atmosphere. I said to my friend “it seemed like our heart beat had to align”

We received a warm welcome including from one of the brothers and the maitre d kindly asked us to study the menu of the night because they would happily make any changes in case we didn’t like something in particular. Even though we didn’t, it felt honest and I believe they would have done it.

I could go into detail of every dish, but to be honest, it would just say: it is the best dish that I could possibly imagine using the ingredients in it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that there is no molecular kitchen bla bla in here. It’s quality regional (not local but regional to Spain) products and cooked to perfection using French techniques.

Things I didn’t like: the amuse cocktail was a big serving, don’t get me wrong delicious but 200ml was maybe too much. Secondly, the wine pairing didn’t do it for me at the price. We had the simple and the “exclusive” pairing one each. Sometimes the cheaper one paired better, sometimes the other. Never did they live up to the quality of the food. I would much rather go by the bottle next time, but mind you, the prices seem steep of their mark up.

All in all 10/10

Will be there next month if I don’t get off the Disfrutar waitlist. Glad to see such a positive review.

  2. Hoping to go next year, so nice to see some pictures and that you enjoyed your meal. 10/10 though when you had some gripes – surely that’s a 9/10, or warranting a decimal, no?

Looks similar to when I went early this year, and agreed on the “expensive” wine pairing. It wasn’t worth it. Food is excellent.
