My tomatoes fell over, but I will not weep, they’ve given me plenty this season. Guess it’s fried green tomatoes tonight, and a drink to our fallen plants.
Most important things I’ve learned after this first garden;
Five gallon pots are too small for beefsteaks, and proper trellis is everything.

Sorry for your loss. Green tomato chow is another option.

Opportunity here! Make a salsa with these like you would with a tomatillo … oven roast, etc. So tasty!

Most of those look close enough to ripen off the vine if you like. Put them in a paper sack if you want to speed up the process.
My all time new favorite condiment. Those green tomatoes are the perfect size.

If you hang the vine in the basement or garage the green tomatoes will slowly ripen over a few weeks or months. I chop the vine at soil level and trim off all of the leaves first. Otherwise the leaves dry and drop and make a mess.

Trellis or tomato cage. They do need support as they grow because they get very top heavy.

If you have a sunny window you can just put them on some paper and leave them to ripen. They will all ripen , even the smaller ones.
