Hello guys
After four years of brewing mainly espresso, i got the chance to upgrade to a used dual boiler and wow it was a great jump being able to control temp and infusion not to mention steaming milk.
After 5 shots using IMS basket i was able to get a decent shots hence the grinder needed to be alot finer before on 54 mm the grind range was between 15-10 with the zero number the burr touches and now for Brazilian beans i had to go to 8.
I'm using DF64 gen 2 and nimcore v4 spring tamper and adjustable number distributor (codex).
Any tips, feedback and information would be really appreciated.
I planing to keep the machine at least for 5 years and i want to maintain it as good as possible.

  1. Service it.
The guy that just repaired my BDB recommends yearly servicing. I had burnt out the thermal fuse, the probes and a bunch of other things had corroded because of leaks.
