Mortadella and provolone on sourdough, cooked on the griddle!

A good cubano is the top of the list, but I’d rather have a mediocre reuben than a mediocre cubano. A monte cristo is also good, but only once in a while.

The deli by me does a thing called Artie’s Way and it’s grilled chicken, lots of thick cut pickles, and 4+ pieces of bacon. Never seen it before bc the guy puts it on some kind of flat roll

Sourdough, homemade chipotle mayo, swiss and cheddar, and then it used to be Boar’s Head firesmith or bbq chicken but I haven’t bought any since the recall. Need to find a good substitute for that. Also love ham, pickles, and pimento cheese on sourdough.

Italian beef, dipped, sweet, mozz. Proper Italian beef is something I will legit never take the time to make at home, and the containers they sell at the store can scratch the itch, but aren’t the same. I like that my fav is something I have to go out and get if I want it done right, which keeps it special.

Egg on toast. Freshly fried egg, steamed up nice no crispy bits, runny yolk.
Honestly I’d buy egg yolk for dipping anything into

The Ham Hero from Salvatore’s in Halifax is truly epic. They cook whole hams themselves, it is made with their own bread which is outstanding on its own, slices of ham, topped with fried onions and mushrooms, then covered in smoked mozzarella and then the whole thing is toasted. They add sliced tomatoes at some point.

There’s a sandwich shop near me, and they have one called The Will Riker. It’s a beef sandwich with caramelized onions, horseradish cheese sauce, on a pretzel bun. Delicious.

A greasy LA style pastrami. The NY deli style is good but nothing hits like that pastrami from childhood.

Cubano 😋
Okay, hear me out. This sounds disgusting but is pretty much a childhood favourite for all Australians. [Spaghetti and cheese jaffle.](https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=a8ccc78adb334567&rlz=1CDGOYI_enAU934AU934&hl=en-GB&q=spaghetti+and+cheese+jaffle&udm=2&fbs=AEQNm0Aa4sjWe7Rqy32pFwRj0UkWd8nbOJfsBGGB5IQQO6L3J7pRxUp2pI1mXV9fBsfh39IA9QkMlwD3vRsTvKOD9kkByQjmSmO84gpVlIVCasrohlvYJO0w0z6hCntclBQcQfJrnpgsSrzR7fOAP3hkZLuGKG6c4msviNmwBHuWGkIajtdP0-KXQ-zXg4LIrYWO2clHhNkBq8ABBnmKiTfZ3BdA7K0HiQ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwig5sGkuL6IAxXkS2wGHV71BUIQtKgLegQIDRAB&biw=390&bih=665&dpr=3) Or any jaffle really.
French Dip
Grilled cheese, or a Philly cheesesteak
Being from Philadelphia I have to go cheese steak. Breakfast sandwiches are a close second.
French dip with caramelized onions, melted swiss cheese, and spiked with horseradish and dijon. It isn’t even close for me.
