Does anybody know of a lid we could use for this bottle with the intention of using it to make hot pepper vinegar?

We know we can't use the current lid since that wouldn't really last too long for preserving lol

This isn’t really the right subreddit for this as this subreddit is focused on home preserving via pressure canning or water canning using safe approved recipes, processes l, and equipment. That said, if you’re putting this hot pepper vinegar into the fridge there’s no reason why you can’t reuse that bottle and cap.

Hmm, why would the current screw cap not work? Does the top need to allow gas to escape, or be air-tight? Are you infusing vinegar, or doing active fermenting? Will it be stored in the fridge? Maybe the sub r/fermenting would be better equipped for your query.
