Two brothers have been setting up a Blackstone at a local dive bar here in Central Illinois recently and throwing these bad boys down. I guess what makes these “Oklahoma style” is smashing the onions in while cooking the burger. 10/10.

    If they’re steaming the buns on top of the patties as they’re finishing (like you’re supposed to with an Oklahoma burger), try it without the sauce next time. The steam of the beef and onions cooking together infuses the buns with a magical flavor and aroma. I’ve found that any type of condiment masks it too much, and it takes away what makes the Oklahoma burger special.

    Did a couple side by side tests, and the ones without condiments were better every time.

    Outside of that, those look killer, and I’d wolf one down after a few cold ones!
