  1. Yes Camirra, I make my chicken and dumplings exactly the way you do here with the exception of cooking the chicken in an instant pot because I don't own one. I slow simmer boil my chicken in a big pot. My mom, and my grandma always made their chicken and dumplings this way too. My grandma and mom are from Kentucky. I just asked my adult son if he wanted me to make this meal this weekend and he said YES! so we're having Chicken and Dumplings tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your love and talents with all of us. Have a Blessed weekend y'all!

  2. Im a drop dumpling kinda gal… My Mema always rolled her dumplings out and cut them in small strips.

It's a great fall weather type of soup.

  3. You really have struck nerve. Love me some chicken and dumplings during the winter for comfort food. Thanks 👍.

  4. I am ready to eat, this is one of my favorite dishes. I drop the dumplings, I think they are softer. Thank you for a great presentation.

  5. I love that you show proper food hygiene. That is one of the first things my Grandma taught me. It is really important, especially for new cooks.

  6. I have learned so much from your channel. Thank you from all of us who didn't have moms to teach us how to cook!

  7. I'm totally with you on the wash that chicken! I hate that weird stickiness right out of the package. I don't care what it is, its' NOT going to be on my chicken! Though I'll admit I'm a rolled dumpling guy myself. Nothing wrong with dropped, but I just like the rolled better myself. Either way, I'll eat them both. As no matter how you do it, it's a wonderful recipe.

  8. I really liked the recipe! I love that you add thyme and a bit of garlic powder to your dumpling flour! You might also try adding a teaspoon of powdered chicken bouillon (like Knorr) to the flour, too, reducing the amount of salt you add to offset the salty bouillon powder – the bouillon will really bump up the chicken flavor in the dumplings.

  9. This is on the top 5 list of comfort food dishes. Only ate the rolled out dumplings made with shortening (Crisco) growing up. Great job!

  10. Thank you for sharing your chicken n dumplings recipe with us. What a surprise seeing you make drop dumplings which is what my mother always made. They would be so light and airy, melt in your mouth. Thank you again. 😊
