In-N-Out and Culver's get all the love. Who else thinks Freddy's is an underrated fast food contender?

I found them to be on par with Steak n Shake, but I’ve been avoiding Freddy’s since I got food poisoning last time I went. I realize that it was likely a food handling issue, and not a problem with the ingredients, but they have a distinct flavor that now puts me off.

Agreed. I can get my chili burger there, which I can’t at the other two, plus Freddy’s actually has malts, which the other two do not have. Freddy’s burgers are pretty close to smashed, btw. I do like In ‘n Out and Culver’s also though. It’s what they don’t have that separates.

I love the jalepenos double from Freddie’s

I honestly love it. I always get the chili cheese dog/single patty burger/ fries combo. That jalapeño fry sauce is the best. I haven’t been since like 2019 though. I was always around one for work. Not so much now.

The Freddy’s near me is better than the Culver’s near me. I like Culver’s more overall but the one near near is very hot or miss. The Freddy’s delivers very consistently though

Properly rated, the California double is my go to

went to my first one down the shore by Seaside NJ last month. Was pretty good…just like the other guy said, similar to Steak & Shake….a little below it IMO. I’ve only been to one Steak & Shake (Stuart, FL, 5 times over the past 3 years), but it was one of the best fast food burgers I’ve had each time. Best shakes too. Only Culver’s and Shake Shack I think is a better fast food burger

Spent $40, and was still hungry. It’s certainly not overrated…decent sure. Worth the trip and remaining hungry? Nah

It’s a decent burger – if you’re really hungry you might not find it to be big enough. I can’t stand the super skinny fries – but I know some folks love ’em. They definitely fit a niche.

  10. I think it’s alright, but if you ever roll past a Jaggers, I think it’s a tad better. Both sort of remind me of steak nd shake and have really crept into the SnS market.

I like the cheese curds more than the burger.

Complete rip off of u ask me ! Tiny burgers for the price

It’s pretty good. I usually stop there when I see one

  14. I have one about 25 minutes from me. I always stop for a burger (and maybe some chili fries) if I’m nearby, but I wouldn’t make the drive specifically to go there.

  15. We have a Freddy’s in my town but the reviews are so bad that I’ve never gone there. It’s a shame because the place is hardly new. There’s a Culver’s right across the street that rocks so that might be part of it

Never had one because it’s like $2.50 more than a in n out double double. Anything special or unique about them?

Been there twice and both times it was so salty I was dehydrated like Three Body Problem.

Freddys burgers are incredible but I agree I rarely consider them when I want a burger. Definitely underrated/overlooked
