pinto and black beans – no salt? i ran out of canning salt and don’t have any salt without caking agents so can i go without salt? TIA & my son for cat tax

    in the majority of canning recipes salt is just for flavor. so yes you can can without salt. My mom doesn’t like salt in her green beans so I always can them without salt, then I just sold mine when I eat them

    I pressure can loads of beans per the rules laid out by the NCHFP and I never use salt. It is to taste anyway.
