A friend sent me this picture of a cake from a wedding she attended recently. Visually, it’s outstandingly beautiful. However, I always question the choice of using things on cakes or with other foods that are not actually edible.
In this case, especially, there are at least two flowers on this cake that I can identify (Larkspur, and anemone) that are actually poisonous.
As pretty as this cake is, it would be a hard pass from me as a guest.

I doubt most people would know it’s poisonous. I agree it’s absolutely stunning. But they should definitely keep poisonous flowers off.
This cake is pretty, and the baker seemed to work very hard on it.I feel like “less is more.” My opinion, this cake is too busy. Bet it tasted good, though!
I would’ve thought that all of the flowers were edible, since they’re on something to eat. Beautiful, but scary, cake!

Could be it’s not entirely cake. Maybe cake dummies for a few of the lower tiers. I’ve heard of people doing that at weddings and then serving a simple sheet cake.
