Bandol to say goodbye to Summer.

Domaine Tempier Bandol 2022

Color: Dark peach

Nose: Lavender, bruised strawberries

Palate: lower acidity than I would’ve imagined. Meyer lemon, macerated strawberries, lavender, lemon pledge.

Thoughts: not my first Bandol, or my first Tempier, but not the best. I was hoping for a little more structure and acidity on this one and it was a little weak for the rich pasta my wife had put together. Still, a very nice rose to cap off summmer. 8/10.

Perhaps a little too delicate to pair with such strong flavours in the pasta? Maybe would have been better paired with a lighter entree? Either way, shame it didn’t live up to

Can you please tell us more about the pasta dish? It looks like salmon roe on top?
    Also, what is the salad?
