    “Endgame (for now)”

    The classic Coffee Oxymoron.

Nice, I’m looking to upgrade my grinder to a Eureka Mignon as well and just stick with the bambino for now.

    I like the aesthetic!
How do you use that shot mirror? I bought one but couldn’t find any position for it to work.

I have the Bambino Plus and the Fellow Opus. Got the Bambino used so total less than £400GBP. Amazingly good value, I’m into medium/darker roasts and only drink flat whites so can’t see myself ever needing anything more.

Does the hopper keep the beans fresh? Does this grind by weight/dose?

Craft is over equipment. Enjoy your caffé!

Where are the grind tray and matching lid from? Love the setup!

a coffee where I live is 5.5CAD. 300g beans are 19CAD, or 1.17 per coffee. milk per cortado is roughly .50, so let’s say 1.67 per drink, meaning each homemade drink saves 3.63.

Let’s say 700CAD for the specialita, which is also about what my grinder cost, and 565 for the bambino plus. With this math, the above setup will break even in 348 coffees- slightly faster than one coffee per day for one year.

so not actually too bad! and if the machine serves more than one drinker, or you were buying more than one drink per day, it’s even quicker.

with my own setup, I was gifted a delonghi ecp which I cheaply modded, so with only the grinder to pay off, I broke even in something like 13 weeks.

  9. Just think of all the money you’ve already saved. Probably almost broke even by now, maybe.

Oh that machine will be replaced in a few years. Just wait!

You should have just moved to Italy.

    Anyways nice setup 🙂

What do you have your portafilter hanging on?

Edit: love the coziness, I have a similar set up with the regular bambino.

  13. What are your thoughts on the grinder custom dial adjustment? Curious if it’s worthwhile.

Where’s the tamper, funnel and tamper pad from? Looks nais!
