I got a coffee at the drive thru, and the blast of donut smell at the window made me regret not getting a donut. So when I got home I made some.

   I used [this recipe](https://www.fleischmannsyeast.com/recipe/glazed-doughnuts/) for the donuts and glaze– although I’ll be honest, I thought they were slightly too bread-like and not quite sweet enough, so I will probably go for a different recipe next time.

   For the chocolate frosting, [Sally’s recipe](https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/chocolate-frosted-donuts/), which I use all the time. It’s perfect.

   How do you deep fry your donuts? Just pot full of oil and flip them afterwards? I’m always apprehensive of frying because it uses tons of oil and I don’t want to mess it up and soak it by accident.
