I feel like matcha doesn’t get enough love


I love matcha and decided to make matcha cookies with vanilla & bourbon white chocolate🍵

    Not sure how much match is in these but be careful with too much, it can be very high in caffeine causing various negative health consequences when dosages are too high

    I make matcha and white chocolate scones all the time. It’s one of my favorite flavor combinations 💚💚. These look amazing!

    Rough measurements and directions:

    1. preheat oven to 350 fahrenheit
    2. mix about 3/4 cup AP flour with 1 Tbsp of matcha (through a sieve), 1 Tbsp of powdered milk, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of baking soda
    3. in a separate bowl beat 1 stick of salted butter (room temp) until fluffy. pour in 1 and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. beat until combined (i used a stand mixer but an electric mixer works fine too). add in 1 egg (room temp) and a splash of vanilla extract.
    4. once combined, pour in the dry ingredients and mix.
    5. chop up one 100g white chocolate bar into pieces and pour into the dough. fold in.
    6. i scoop with an ice cream scooper. no clue what size. throw em in the oven for about 12ish minutes and let them cool!

    Every year I make matcha shortbread cookies and use cookie cutters to make them little Christmas trees.

    I make a matcha cookie with white chocolate and macademia nuts and they’re pretty popular…with me! I love matcha.

    Around Christmas I swap the white chocolate for the hershey’s peppermint kisses

    Probably partly because it’s expensive. I enjoy it, but I’ve never been able to justify buying any for my own baking.
