This easy and authentic Italian bruschetta recipe uses fresh ingredients and is perfect for an appetizer or a light snack.

๐Ÿ“ Ingredients (4 servings) ๐Ÿ“
– 1 baguette
– 600g tomatoes
– 6 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 to 4 garlic cloves
– A bunch of basil leaves
– 2 teaspoons of salt

๐Ÿณ Recipe ๐Ÿณ
1. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes
2. Salt the tomatoes, mixing well so they’re all covered in salt
3. Let them rest for at least half an hour, mixing every 10 minutes to allow water to come out
4. Add the olive oil to the drained tomato mixture
5. Crush or grate the garlic into the mixture
6. Tear apart the basil leaves and mix everything well
7. Cut the baguette into thin slices
8. Brush one of the sides with olive oil and toast them in the oven or on a frying pan
9. Rub the oiled side of the slices with a garlic clove (optional)
10. Distribute the tomatoes onto the bread slices and serve fresh
