It will get better. Raising girls is so different from boys. 7 years from now you will be the best of friends again. Hang in there and keep reminding her and yourself how much you love her.
We had homecoming in my town in Alabama this weekend My oldest child is a now grown and living on her own but I now have a 15 year old bonus daughter with me full time and it's her freshman year of high-school… between her marching band activities for homecoming week and the dance with the dress, shoes and hair and nail appointments I am exhausted. I had forgotten how different it is with a girl . My boy was much lower maintenance
8:048:04 Your bread looks delicious. I know how you feel. My boys live in two different states. It's hard seeing them grow up and leaving. But I am happy they are doing well. β€
Tiffany I knnnnow exxxactly what your going thru!!! Without you even saying exactly what it is I fully understand I went through the same thing with my daughter 5 years ago when she was a senior and and I remember it like yesterday, so you are definitely in my prayers and I understand.
Sounds like you must not have the mother/daughter relationship you crave & portray! I can't understand what could be so stressful, in a negative way!? Most young girls are excited, dressing up for homecoming, either with girlfriends or even a brother, if they don't have a proper date. Clearly, you can afford her dress & accessories. It's OK for her to be unaccompanied by her mom for a change!
Yayπ another recipe I can try! my family loved the lasagna recipe when my husband warmed it up at work everyone was commenting on how good it smelled.!
Yes ππΌ Senior daughter here trying to survive my last out of five. Iβm so sad.
I have one daughter sheβs your age now, but when my daughter first moved out, I cried when she moved back in. I cried, so we go through life. It gets hard, but we get through it.β€
You're a fabulous Mom and you'll be a fabulous grandmother too! So many great things ahead for you. As the saying goes "A son is a son until he takes a wife, but a daughter is a daughter all of your life". I have a feeling that with you… being such a devoted Mom, your family will grow extensively with your son's wives too. You are loved!! Your focaccia bread makes my mouth water! Well done!
OMG!! Tell me about that!! I have kids literally back to back, 2 boys and 3 girls. Just sent the 4th one off to college and I have one left that's a junior. Sports and what not burns you out as a parent. I understand what you mean πβ€its crazy sometimes but all worth doing for the kids!! β€bless your heart β€
Praying for you Tiffany! I had tears listening to you because I know that mama pain! My baby graduated 6 years ago & then went off to college! As a single mama, whoβs world revolved around her children, that empty nest was hard – but still so rewarding to see your babies grow up to be the adults you worked so hard to raise them to be! Hang in there and enjoy this special time with your daughter! Sheβs going through lots of change as well, finding herself and knowing that adulthood is approaching fast! Sending hugs and prayers! ππ»β€οΈππ»
Well, I had two girls. One did not give me any grief but the other gave me double. I am 72 now. Every family is different, also every relationship. Kids are different than how I grew up. Times are different. I feel not for the better. I pray that everything will resolve for you. You have been such a caring and loving mother. You bend over backwards for your kids. My younger daughter is not speaking with me. I was a great mother, not perfect but did everything for my girls. I remember when I was working I would rush after work to go to all the basketball games, some far to drive, cooking for the team, so much to do. I loved every minuteβ¦β¦.β€π₯°πποΈβ¦.Prayers coming your way Tiffβ¦.
