Help identifying peppers. What kind of pepper are these?
I suspect habenero but I'm not versed in pepper identification, they came with the house we recently purchased. I just got done picking them for a friend who wants to try them but neither of us as sure what they really are.

If they’re hot, habs. If they taste great but have zero heat, Trinidad perfume. I grew some one year, tasted amazing.

Habs for sure. LPT they freeze beautifully and you can just pop them out when you want to use them and slice them thin (still frozen) to top pizza with, add to sauces, soups, stews. Or you can toss them in whole to better control the heat if you like. I grow them every year and always end up with more than I can use. I am always happy to have a bag in the freezer for things that need a lil fruity heat.

Look like happy habs, but…to be *sure*, I find the best way to truly gauge whether it is a habanero or not is to grind one up into a fine paste, swirl your index finger around in it, then stick it up your butthole. It’s the only way to be sure.

I know this one. I learned that if you constantly pull up your pants while cutting them, the oils transfer from your gloves. Then, later that night, after touching your pants again and going to the bathroom, it really burns.
