Can I safely substitute red tomatoes instead of the tomatillos in this recipe? Such as Roma or plum tomatoes. If so, would I have to peel/core them?

    This is a very tasty green salsa but I would go ahead and try to find a tomato based salsa recipe that sounds good. My family is stuck on the stupid Mrs. Wages salsa mixes but the Ball Zesty Salsa was my favorite.
